It’s ECHO’s 5
Year Anniversary and we are looking forward to a great year with new
downloadable classroom activities to complement your trip and vital
professional development for teachers.
New
this year, ECHO has made a commitment to model
inquiry-based teaching. We will continue to offer self-guided
field trips enhanced by our popular ECHO Encounters; however, our
staff-led classes will gradually be changing to a new format. The
Inquiry programs run 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday from September through April. Included are
Inquiry Treks, activity stations and an interactive
assessment. Our hope is to provide an experience which steps
out of the classroom and integrates our live animals and exhibits
linking directly to the Vermont Science and Social Studies
Standards. We hope you will embrace and appreciate
these changes.

planning. Last, click the

REGISTRATION FORM and send us your requests for
programs. ECHO books schools on a first come, first serve
basis. We encourage schools to visit during October to March when
crowds are lighter and staff is more available to groups. Plan ahead -
our calendar fills quickly!
