EDUCATORS

We’re excited you’re considering ECHO as the place for inquiry learning.

WELCOME TO THE ECHO 2009-10 SCHOOL YEAR!

Our mission is to educate and delight our visitors about the Ecology, Culture, History and Opportunity for stewardship in the Lake Champlain Basin and beyond. ECHO strives to model the key inquiry process skills of observing, questioning, predicting, experimenting, and reporting data through our programs and exhibits. Our aim is to motivate students to have discussions with ECHO Exhibit Interpreters and Staff as they explore more than 70 live species of animals and more than 100 interactive exhibits. Choose a self-guided experience or build a custom program from our Teacher’s Choice school program offerings of 30-60 minute programs all linked directly to Vermont Standards and Grade Expectations in science and history.

We look forward to your upcoming visit!
