STUDENT
RESOURCES |
Make the most of your visit to ECHO! |
Our online resources will evolve over time, but for now
consider the following ideas
to enrich your students' field
trip:
- Encourage group chaperones to get involved! ECHO has
several tools to encourage deeper exploration of exhibits:
Downloadable ECHO Treks (for
self-guided groups ) and ECHO Inquiry
Treks (for groups taking an ECHO Staff-led program) slow
down the action and provide a more memorable experience for
students' exhibit exploration.
- ECHO welcomes research, staff interviews, and
behind-the-scenes tours.
- Visit the Lake Champlain
Basin Program (LCBP) Resource Room located on the top
floor of ECHO. This comprehensive space devoted to all things
around the Ecology, Culture,
History, and Opportunity for stewardship of the
Lake Champlain Basin features DVDs, supported computer searches,
pamphlets, books, posters, maps — not to mention the talented
Staff. Each of these are rich resources to expand student
learning.
| To customize a visit to that includes Staff involvement
from Animal Care, Marketing, Events, or the LCBP Resource
Room, please contact Molly Loomis, ECHO's Director of
Education, at
mloomis@echovermont.org or (toll-free) 1.877.324.6386
ext. 110 so that arrangements can be made to help you
reach educational goals. |
