Step Into the Physics of Human Movement at ECHO. |
WHAT MOVES YOU? BODY LANGUAGE
What do throwing a frisbee, snowboarding, and dancing at your
high school prom all have in common? The laws of physics, of
course. Explore the science of movement by visiting ECHO Lake
Aquarium and Science Center this summer to experience Body
Language: an interactive exhibit bringing physics to life, May
17 – September 1, 2008. Sponsored by Merchants Bank, Blue Cross
and Blue Shield of Vermont, and Vermont Chiropractic
Association.
Forget “hands-on,” this exhibit is “full-body-on”; engaging
every inch of your muscles, mind, and imagination…
- Get moving with the ultimate interactive giant Snibbe
Screens, where you can literally dance with your own shadow
and e-mail the image to friends and family
- Grab on to a larger-than-life turntable and experience
angular momentum and centrifugal force
- Test the “maximum force” of your jumps, leaps, and hops
- Get moving with a full spectrum of programming
throughout the summer, with performances and workshops by
Circus Smirkus, breakdancing Rhythm Riderz, Vermont Frost
Heaves, Jeh Kulu Dance and Drum Theater of Burlington, and
many others
