SPECIAL EVENTS

An exhibit of this caliber has never been in a market as small as Burlington, VT. We wanted to make the experience as rich and deep as possible so guests will have the maximum potential for learning. Our exhibit partner, the UVM College of Medicine, has been educating physicians and scientists for close to 200 years. The expert advisory team from the College of Medicine has helped us create three exciting programs making Our Body: The Universe Within accessible to all levels of learners.

Beyond these special events, there are group participation options available with discount admissions for ten or more people. This is an ideal way for a school group to enjoy Our Body: The Universe Within. We encourage educators to check out our group admission rates here.

The Events

Family Scientist: Wednesdays at 1:00pm from July 11 through August 15.

Did you know we all have a literal blind spot because of the anatomy of our nervous system? Have you ever wondered what our body does to our food after we put it in our mouth? Come to ECHO's Family-Scientist Labs this summer and discover all about our body-systems in detail using experiments, dissections, lectures, hands-on activities, and a culminating exhibit tour. Each Family-Scientist lab focuses on a new body-system each week and runs 45 minutes to 1 hour.

The lab portion of the Family Scientist program takes place in the University of Vermont Rubenstein Laboratory which is adjacent to ECHO.

Participation is free with admission to the Our Body: The Universe Within exhibit but space is limited so call us and sign up today for tickets to the exhibit and to reserve your spot in the labs.

Because of our work in the lab we ask that at least one adult attends the lab along with your young scientists.

To make your reservation in a Family Scientist Lab call 877-324-6386, ext. 100

Our Body Interpretation Days

ECHO guests will enjoy Our Body: The Universe Within every day of the week, but on Wednesday and Friday afternoons (after 12:30 p.m.) there will be UVM College of Medicine students in the exhibit hall to answer questions and to provide guidance.
