Our Body: The Universe Within is presented
by ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center in partnership
with the University of Vermont (UVM) College of Medicine.
The UVM
College of Medicine is the seventh oldest medical
school in the United States. Since its founding nearly
200 years ago, the college has been dedicated to providing
innovative medical education, conducting world-class biomedical
research, and serving as a partner in caring for patients
and their families.
Both ECHO and the UVM College of Medicine are committed
to teaching not only the next generation of scientists
and physicians, but the Vermont community, North Country
region and beyond. In jointly supporting this exhibit,
our organizations aim to inspire all visitors to gain
a deeper understanding and appreciation of the body's
form, function and uniqueness.
This page provides a wide selection of teaching materials
to help people understand how to use the exhibit as a
teaching tool, and how to understand the various systems
of the body highlighted in the exhibit. Included here
are seven videos, exclusively created by faculty experts
at UVM College of Medicine, that provide an overview of
the body systems featured in the exhibit, as well and
printed materials for further investigation and education.
