 Since we opened in 2003, nearly a
million guests have visited to
learn and delight in the Ecology, Culture,
History, and
Opportunity for stewardship of the Lake Champlain Basin.
This incredible facility, talented Staff, and diverse
collection of animals require almost $1 million of support
each year. Contributions help purchase the food to feed over
80 species of animals, install audio systems for programs
like Cafe Scientifique,
lease seasonal exhibits, support access for low-income
members of the community through
ECHO's Open Door, launch new programs like
Voices for the Lake,
and much more.
