Become a part of ECHO’s Environmental Teen Leadership Program: The E-team!

Our next recruitment period for the 2010-11 E-Team will begin September 1, 2010!

  • Are you interested in animals, science, and the environment?
  • Are you curious about teaching at ECHO and in the community?
  • Are you a Freshman or Sophomore in high school and live in the Burlington area?
  • Do you want to get involved?

If you answered yes to one or more of these questions E-Team could be just the program for you!
 

2009-2010 E-Team at an After-School Outreach Program
Vivien leads a water filtering activity at a 2008-09 outreach program. E-Team members will:
  • Interact with the public by leading science experiments and environmentally-themed crafts and games
  • Provide science and environmental themed programs for low-income families and youth
  • Represent ECHO to public audiences in a friendly, professionally, knowledgeable way, both at and away from ECHO

  • Stipend of $20/week
Latesha (2007-08 E-Team) leads a weekend encounter with a deer backbone.

In order to be considered for the E-team, you must be available during the school year on Thursday afternoons between 4 and 6 p.m., AND for a four hour shift on Saturday or Sunday mornings (9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.) OR afternoons (1 - 5 p.m.).
