LAKE
WEATHER

What natural event encompasses every aspect of water? The weather! And as ECHO is located right on the shores of Lake Champlain, weather plays an enormous role, both in and outside of our facility.

That's why ECHO, WPTZ NewsChannel 5, and the U.S. Geological Survey have teamed up to provide exclusive weather data directly from ECHO on the Burlington Waterfront.

WHAT ARE THE CURRENT CONDITIONS AT ECHO?

Today’s Lake forecast starts at ECHO’s Weather Station on our facility's exterior west side, where advanced weather sensors provide accurate and understandable weather information to help plan your day. Explore real-time Lake level and temperature, as well as air temperature, wind speed, and direction.

Inside ECHO, be sure to experience the Be a Watershed Weather Reporter exhibit — featuring NewsChannel 5's Tom Messner, Chief Meteorologist of ECHO — where you can star in a customized weather report in our TV studio. Then visit the multimedia Awesome Forces Theater, featuring the natural processes that transformed the Lake Champlain Basin. And don't miss ECHO's Weather Station on our exterior's west side, where you can explore real-time Lake level and temperature, as well as air temperature, wind speed, and direction.

Weather Plus at ECHO and NewsChannel 5 Live at ECHO

NewsChannel 5’s Tom Messner – the official meteorologist of ECHO – brings you current conditions directly from ECHO: From temperatures, to wind speed, you can actually watch the weather change right on your screen!

And be sure to watch Tom's monthly live broadcast from ECHO for exclusive sneak previews of our exhibits and special features – and, naturally, the latest weather!
