YMCA Early Learning Readiness Program for ages 0-5

The Greater Burlington YMCA partners with ECHO to bring the YMCA Early Learning Readiness Program to the community for low resource and New American families.

The Y ELR program educates and trains home-based caregivers about developmentally appropriate learning activities for children ages 0-5. The 2-hour sessions take place twice weekly and are led by YMCA early education professionals and ECHO youth education staff. Each session includes child-directed play and exploration at 13 interest stations, circle time with group songs and activities, healthy snacks, caregiver learning opportunities, networking for caregivers, and a chance to interact.

The YMCA Early Learning Readiness Program at ECHO is possible thanks to financial support from the The Institute of Museum and Library Sciences, the A.D. Henderson Foundation, and the Y-USA. Contact Elizabeth Nuckols, Youth Education Specialist, for more information.
