This special ECHO EMS Day is designed to provide access to the OUR BODY: The Universe Within exhibit to as many EMS folks as possible before the exhibit leaves on September 3.
Joining the EMS folks this day will be Sgt. Severin and several members of the Vermont National Guard Medical Unit. They will set up outside of ECHO from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with their Red Cross Humvee as well as a tent within which they will present various treatment and aid demonstrations using their human patient simulator. This outside demonstration is open and free to the public.
EMS personnel are encouraged to bring guests who will receive $2 off of each of their admission to ECHO (up to 4 people per party).
Additionally, through September 3 (the last day of the OUR BODY exhibit), ECHO is extending a 50% off admission ticket to all Vermont EMS personnel as well as continue the $2 discount for each member of their party, up to four people.
We are also working with the UVM College of Medicine to secure faculty members and med students to be on hand within the exhibit during most of the day on August 9th.
Certified Vermont EMS personnel will simply show their official EMS certification card as well as a valid I.D. on August 9 to receive free access.
