ECHO’S PRESENTS WINTERFEST 2012
dURING HOLIDAY WEEK, DECEMBER 22 THROUGH JANUARY 1

BURLINGTON, VT. — The gifts have been opened, wrapping paper recycled, cookies eaten and the family is all together. Now what do you do? Come to WINTERFEST at ECHO!
WINTERFEST at ECHO runs from Saturday, December 22 through Sunday, January 1, 2013. During the entire winter break, ECHO is pulling out all the stops and offering lots to do and see for all of our visitors. We have activities packed into every day we are open from Saturday, December 22, 2012 through Sunday, January 1, 2013.
NOTE: ECHO is closed on December 24 and 25 (Christmas Eve and Day).
10:00 - Doors open with the following happening ALL DAY…
- Creation Station (in Revision Lakeside Pavilion)
- Up close to the Sea Tank
- RACE, Are We So Different? exhibit
- ECHO Gift Shop
10:30 a.m. - Animal Care Demo (meet an animal or see an animal feeding)
11 a.m. - Family Story Time
11:30 a.m. - Snowflake Station Opens, bury an adult moose!
12:30 p.m. - Snowball Fight with homemade catapults!
2 p.m. - Education and Ecology Demonstration
3 p.m. - Animal Care Demo
4 p.m. - Snowball Fight #2 (because it is so much fun!)
5 p.m. – Doors close
The Creation Station will be in the new expanded space called the Revision Lakeside Pavilion which overlooks beautiful Lake Champlain. This will be a fun and busy place where visitors will be constructing their own upcycled crafts and decorations. Sugarsnap will be serving delicious food and tasty beverages from the café window in the Lakeside Pavilion as well.

ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center is located at the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain, on Vermont’s Burlington Waterfront. ECHO features 70 live species, more than 100 interactive experiences, changing and permanent exhibits and seasonal events — all exploring the Ecology, Culture, History, and Opportunity for stewardship of the Lake Champlain Basin.
